2/25/2021 Jetboil Stash - Damn This Stove Is LightI always love finding new little gems that I can add to my wishlist. I was looking around on Youtube and saw a cool new stove from Jetboil I've never owned a Jetboil stove, but I've always heard good things about them. Well, this one is super lightweight and reasonably fast at cooking too. It weighs just 7.1 oz / 200 gram - I work in grams, so the oz part doesn't mean a great deal to me, but 200 grams is like crazy, crazy light. I wanted to know a little bit more and found a cool 3 Jetboil Stash review here and one here and another here. It looks like a few people have got their hands on it to test. What I learned from the reviews is that the pot on the Stash is 800ml and made of aluminium, with a heat exchanger on the base. You can clip onto the inside of the lid for easy nesting without it making an annoying rattle, and there's space under the canister for a mini lighter. The folding pan supports have a groove to securely fit the matching pot. However, unlike most other stove systems, this burner can also be utilised with any cookware, making the Stash pretty versatile. There's no inbuilt ignition, yet since these can be unpredictable, most people will be used to bringing spare lighters anyway. Jetboil Stash Stove I currently have a non-brand cheapo stove from amazon - it's okay, but I reckon it's close to being on its last legs. So maybe in a few months, when the UK lockdown ends and the family and I can go camping in the summer, we'll invest in this stove. If I do, I'll write a review here. I know my blog is pretty lame, and I've always wanted to do some product reviews; it's just I've not been able to go out anywhere to test stuff and don't want to bother reviewing old products. Oh before I forget, here is the Jetboil official website, which also has some flashy pictures and info. The outside this can be a great spot for youngsters to learn.
